Frequently asked questions:

Tell me please what shall I do to register to Sudak this year?

Please go to the page Registration to fill the registration form and give us your name and e-mail address. There are no obligatory preliminary registrations for lessons on tango camp. We need this information to have an idea of how many people are coming to Sudak this year and to be able to send you occasional updates.

Please read on the site some details about Tango Camp

How to pay for milongas? Can it be on place when I come?

Payment for milongas and lessons is at the entrance. No prepayments for lessons and milongas.

I wanted to ask you about lessons. Do I need to choose and pre-register for the lessons? Or can I come before lesson, pay for it and join?

There are no pre-registrations for Tango Camp. You can decide which lessons you wish to go for right on the place. The payment for lessons and milongas is at the entrance. Pay and join. :)

How to make reservation for hotel complex Sudak?

The information about accommodation you find on the page Accommodation. Please choose the type of hotel you wish to book and send your reservation details as written there. You will receive the confirmation of you reservation.

Are "the milongas" located at one place only or are there many balls at the same time during the fest?

All lessons and milongas take place at the same one place – the big hall at Tourist-Recreation Complex SUDAK. There will be only one milonga every night.

For the rooms of 2 single beds, in case i come do you think i can find someone who can join me to share the prices (it makes it cheaper)?

Usually people share room if they know each other. Otherwise, they book room and pay for single occupancy.

Can I find a cheap hostel or maybe youth hostel (for students)?

Prices for accommodation at TRC SUDAK are indicated on the page Accommodation. There are no hostels in Sudak.

How to get to Sudak?

Please have a look on the page How to get to Sudak.

In the Ukraine, does the hotels and your tango camp accept credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard or do I need to bring US dollars and convert it to Ukrainian currency?

All hotels and private rooms in Sudak accept cash only. No credit cards accepted. As for our tango camp (payment for milongas or lessons) is the same: cash accepted only. No credit cards accepted. The payment for milongas and lessons is in Euro or Ukrainian Hrivnas. Of coarse you can bring your credit card, but you will not be able to pay by this card. You will have to go to the bank at get cash money from ATM. Then you will use cash money for payment for hotel, for meals at cafe and restaurants, etc. You will see that card system not so developed in Ukraine as in the USA and Europe especially in small towns like Sudak. I would recommend you to bring both - credit card and cash with you to be sure. If you have cash USD, it is very easy to exchange them into Ukrainian Hrivnas. You can do in banks in Sudak on weekdays (from Monday to Friday). The nearest bank is located in 10 minutes walk from TRC ”Sudak”. On weekend (on Saturday and Sunday) it is possible to change money in the center of Sudak. It takes 20-25 minutes from TRC “Sudak" to the city center.

What is the ratio between leaders and followers? I am a leader and would travel on my own. Would it be difficult to find dancing partners?

The ratioo is 1:2. Among 600 participants - 200 men and 400 women. For men is no problem to find a partner.

I don't speak any Ukrainian or Russian, only English and Spanish. Do you think that would be a big problem for getting to Sudak? For the classes?

As for getting to Sudak, we, organizing team help all foreign guests with airport transfer (we help to order taxi). As for classes - all lessons are in English with translation into Russian.

Do the people who attend this event speak some English? What is their attitude towards foreigners?

Some tangueros speak English well. The attitude towards foreigners is nice, don't worry :)
